Objective: 

To develop the skills of apparel designing through a project on garment designing, using inspirational objects as a theme for Line Development for target group.

 

Unit I: 
Course Content:
  • Students will develop a line for target group and finally constructing two hi-fashion garments using value addition.
  • The students will be evaluated on the basis of products created and practical record.
  • Documentation & conceptualization of collection based on the following :
    • Concept selection
    • Research market trends
    • Mood board and color story
    • Costume profile
    • Fabric sourcing
    • Design development
    • Pattern development, muslin fit \ transfer on final fabric
    • Construction of final garment (Two garments)
    • Finishing
    • Photoshoot
    • Accessorisation
    • Costing
    • Final presentation
