Introduction to needle work
  • Selection of needle, frames, scissors, tools & tracing methods used in needle craft.
  • Embroidery on different types of textile materials (cotton, silk, jute)

Stitches
  • Basic stitches: Straight stitch-Stem, Back, Fly stitch                        
  • Flat stitch: Satin, Cross  
  • Loop stitch: Herringbone, Feather stitch, Button Hole
  • Knotted stitch: French knot, Bullion knot

Finishing of raw edges
  • Techniques & Application of basting, overcastting, hemming

Surface ornamentation Techniques
