This course will enable the students to

  1. Acquaint students with Computer Aided Designing.
  2. Impart the skills of fashion designing through designing & editing software

CAD- II (Practical)

The Students will be able to:

CO.296 Comprehend the fundamentals of the digital illustration for male and female croquis with designing.

CO.297 Acquire abilities of drawing, editing and transformation through software like designing & editing software

CO.298 Develop skill for using Reach Fashion Studio software for designing.

Approach in teaching:

Demonstrations, Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Informative videos

Learning activities for the students: Self-learning assignments, Design sheet designing, editing software & Reach Fashion studio.

 

Class test, Semester end examinations, Quiz, Presentation and portfolio development.

 

Unit I: 
CONTENTS
  • Designing Software
  • Drawing 10½ male & female croqui with grids and guidelines

  • Stylization of male & female croquis- front, back and side.                             

04 hrs
  • Grouping of Croquis (male and female)        

06 hrs

Designing male and femaleapparel using appropriate theme incorporating the following:                                                                                                                             

  • Mood board
  • Storyboard
  •  Texture Development
  • Colour sheet
  • Illustrate five female and five male apparel designs (Manual and with software)
  • Spec sheet
  • Final presentation

  • Editing Software

Creating different type of textures, in respect to various prints and feel of the fabric

  Photo Repair and Enhancement-

  • Image Sources
  • Making one picture from two
  • Realistic Composites
  • Replacing a background
  • Developing posters by scanning, cropping, retouching and special effects

  • Creating designs through Reach Fashion Studio (At least 10 according to latest trends)
