Objective: 
  1. To develop the skill to choose an appropriate theme
  2. To develop the final sketches, fabric swatches, trimmings, ornamentation, textures by experimenting.
  3. To develop for presentation of created theme.

 

Unit I: 
COURSE CONTENT
  • Various figure types
  • Figure defects
  • Garment styling according to figure types
  • Selection of themes for the collection
  • Market Research
  • Development of mood boards, color boards, theme board
  • Collect fabric swatches & Trimmings
  • Creating doodles.
  • Designing female apparels for any two of the following categories using inspiration board, latest trend and forecasting:
    • Casual wear
    • Dresses
    • Evening wear
    • Swimming & Lingerie
    • Bridal
    • Night wear
  • Preparation of power point presentation
