Objective: 
  1. To enable the students to design and create dyed & printed material
  2. 2. To make students understand an in depth study of the role of designer in tune with industry  as well as market requirement

Preparation of grey fabric                                                      04 hrs

Scouring of cotton

Degumming of silk  

Preparation of screen by exposing technique                       08 hrs                                                                         

 Printing fabric using suitable dyes                                       22 hrs    

  • Direct style: Transfer,Stencil ,Khadi Printing & Screen printing
  • Resist style: Batik printing on silk fabric
  • Discharge style
  • Printing
  • Technique and Ingredients used in printing                           08hrs
  • Colour fixation and treatments – steaming – curing- thermal fixing.
  • Students are expected to prepare creative samples and create saree, kurta , stole & scarf.                                                                   10 hrs
  • Development of ( any one) bags, pouches, yokes/ borders for desired products                                                                                        08 hrs
