Objective: 

This course will enable the students to

  1. Conduct a market survey in terms of present trends, style details, colours, fabrics, trims, sizes and price it and create your own concepts.
  2. Gain practical knowledge from the garment exportindustry.
  3. Acquaint with the knowledge and techniques required in creating designs for an export order.

The students will be able to –

 

CO 74. Interpret the market trends for designing dresses.

CO 75. Create design for garments, patterns

CO 76. Construct dresses with value addition and exhibit the created work.

CO 77.Analyze and prepare a report on garment export unit

CONTENTS

I: Develop various prototypes for a dress for an export house incorporating the skills learnt during the course with emphasis on value addition. The students will be required to submit the report after working with the details of an export order.                                                                   45 hrs
