Objective: 

1. To give students in depths look into the fashion industry through styling projects.

 

Course Content:

  • Concept selection according to client and preparation of theme board, mood board, story board, color and swatch board for Fashion styling.                                                                                                                      05 hrs
  • Creation of a fashion design journal with daily plans, fashion terms, responses and reflections on fashion related articles, fashion sketches using fashion styling magazines.                                                                                      05 hrs
  • Analysis of fashion sketches and editorials to identify garment parts, style influence, historical dress, and other technical information used to specify the influences and psychology of fashion.
  • Identification of color as a design element with significance of related symbolism, usage of color schemes and illusions for apparel.                                                                                                                               10 hrs
  • Designing fashion promotion in terms of advertising, publicity, and visual merchandising for apparels                                                                                                                                                                                   10 hrs
  • Creation of stylized apparel design according to current trend with different rendering techniques.                                                                                                                                                                                             12 hrs
  •  Planning and development of photography set for a fashion editorial.                                                                                                                 10 hrs
  • Application of combination of garments/ garment parts/ accessories/ makeup to create new fashion styles.                                                                                             08 hrs

Fashion styling of four garments and documentation of its complete process in form of portfolio
