Introduction to needle work
Selection of needle, frames, scissors, tools & tracing methods used in needle craft.
Embroidery on different types of textile materials (cotton, silk, jute)

Stitches
Basic stitches: Straight stitch-Stem, Back, Fly stitch
Flat stitch: Satin, Cross
Loop stitch: Herringbone, Feather stitch, Button Hole
Knotted stitch: French knot, Bullion knot

Finishing of raw edges
Techniques & Application of basting, overcastting, hemming

Surface ornamentation Techniques
Patch work, Appliqué techniques, Ribbon, Beads & Sequin work, Mirror work
