Objective: 

1. To impart in-depth knowledge of pattern making and garment construction techniques.

2. To develop and understand the principles of pattern making through flat pattern.

 

  • Identifying the landmarks and taking body measurements            04 hrs

  • Flat pattern
  • Draping
  • Introduction to basic tools used in pattern making and sewing techniques                                                                                             04 hrs

  • Drafting, adaptation and construction of the  following:                                                                                                                     26 hrs
  • Skirt - A-line, Gathered and Umbrella                                                        
  • Sleeves – Plain, Puff, Flared, Petal and Cap                                           
  • Collars – Peter-pan (Flat, Raised) cape collar, sailor and Convertible
  • Yokes - Round, V-Shaped and Shaped (bodice & skirt blocks)
  • Pockets- Patch with Pleat, Patch with Flap, Set-in, welt

 

·Designing (flat sketch), Pattern Making & Construction of one of each garment with value addition:                                                    40 hrs
