This course will develop students' skills in textile designing through a project that uses inspirational objects as themes for line development for clients. It also includes creating various boards for specific home textiles.

CO 152Analyze the market trends, design, selection of fabrics and prints for home textiles and develop a design through compilation of elements and principles of design

CO 153Design and Construct a home textile range according to the recent trends and assess and apply various techniques of drafting for home textiles.

Assessment task will include Class test, Semester         end examinations, student’s presentations   and assignments. Assessment task require students to present work in progress for weekly feedback and constructive criticism.

 

CONTENT
Students are required to construct a home textile range (Bed set/Table set) using the following the below mentioned design process.          (60 Hours)

Note: The developed product should be displayed accordingly in the department exhibition. Photographs during the exhibition should be documented in Portfolio.
