Activity: Competition on “Best out of waste”

Department of Fashion & Textiles had “organized a competition best out of waste “Think out of Loop” on 29 August 2019 at Clothing Lab, IIS (deemed to be University) Campus, Jaipur.

 

In all there were 40 students from B.Sc. Fashion Design Semester – I, III & V and M.A./M.Com/ M.Sc. Fashion Design Semester – I & III students participated in groups and individually. Students were asked to bring waste materials related to apparel and textiles to create design sheets, backdrops and accessories on their own. The participants were asked to design and develop creative products out of waste. Students showed their full enthusiasm in the completion.

 

The panels of judges for the competition were:

In the end, students developed different types of product that includes design sheets , backdrop, wall hangings etc. Each group explained their concept of developning the product with the judges on the idea and inspiration.

  1. Second Position: Pragya Chouchan, Ritika Poodar and Ishita Sharma, B,Sc. Fashion Design, Sem –I and Mili jain,Firdos , B,Sc. Fashion Design, Sem –V and Ambuja,M.Com. fashion design Sem-III                    
  1. Third Position: Neha Tiwari, Dhruvi Nathan,Natasha, Dhruvi Nathan, Navya and Deepshika, B.Sc. Fashion Design, Sem -I

Best three groups were recoznied according on the basis of their creativity and innovation.
