Report on workshop
Activity: Liquid Embroidery & Photo Mug Designing
Venue: Clothing Lab
Date: 21 & 22 August 2019
Department of Fashion and Textiles conducted a two day workshop, exclusively for the students of COSD Fashion Designing on 21 & 22 August 2019 in Clothing Lab from 09:30 am to 10:30 am.
The resource person for the workshop was Ms. Raj Dholiwal, a fashion artist and instructor from “Pidilite Fevicryl Colours”, Jaipur. This workshop was planned with an aim to develop and enhance skills towards Embroidery without using thread.
Students were asked to bring the following material:-
Day 1: Liquid Embroidery
Ms. Raj Dholiwal demonstrated free hand Embroidery technique using Pidilite Fevicryl Colours and 3D outliner. She used 3D colours on cotton fabric to give the effect of embroidery. Such colors can be used on T-shirts, Scarf, Saree and Kurtas.
Day 2: Photo mug Designing
Ms. Raj Dholiwal demonstrated that how u can make photo mug at home with low cost using acrylic colors and Pidilite modge podge. Students also tried to make the articles using the same and they were very happy to see the results.
After the activity Ms. Raj Dholiwal took the online feedback from all the participants. She also applause for the participants and said that they are very creative and did a very good job by creating articles using the techniques demonstrated by her.
The students keenly participated in the workshop. This workshop was very fruitful for the students as it helped them to create their own designs with innovative style. Approximately forty students participated in the workshop.
