Objective of the activity - Recycle, Reuse and Redesign
Description:
The Department of Fashion & Textiles had organised One Day’s Exhibition Cum Sale “Recreation” on 30th November 2021 in Clothing Lab. In the exhibition the products developed by the students were displayed. Also, there was a sale of Apparel and Home Textile products developed from the waste fabrics and garments. Products displayed for sale at a very nominal price. The main objective behind this exhibition was to indicate awareness towards recycling and to give them a platform where they can showcase the creative’s which will help them to develop their entrepreneurial skill.
The range of products developed included Tie dye Apron, Table cover Cushion Cover, Kurti of different sizes, Wall hanging, Roti Cover, Child Frocks, Pouches, Embroidery Stole and Table Runner.
The Exhibition was open for the faculty members of the university and students. The exhibition was appreciated and the students collected a fair amount.
Outcome of the activity:
Students got an opportunity to sell their products which motivated them to work hard in their creatives. The fund of Rs, 7100/ was generated from this Exhibition Cum Sale which was deposited in accounts and will be utilized for the development of the Department
