Venue: A-501
Now days, the fashion bend is towards funky, youthful and hilariously swanky styles in accessories. Keeping in tune with this trend The Department of Fashion & Textiles Technology conducted a guild activity on "Fabric Craft Accessories- Best out of Waste” in the Room no.A-501, FTT Dept. on 11.07.15. The Department guild co- coordinator and members were the demonstrators for the activity.
The students were introduced to fabric craft. They were particularly demonstrated macramé knot technique for the preparation of myriad forms of bracelets, neck- pieces, anklets, hairbands and tiaras. Different types of flower -making from waste fabric was also taught to them in order to embellish and ornament the accessories prepared.
About twenty students attended the demonstration. They were then divided into groups of five each and were asked to create at least one fabric accessory using the techniques taught. Almost all the groups enthusiastically created exotic “make -it - yourself" trendy accessories.
