Introduction: The Department of Fashion & Textiles organized an exhilarating Intra-University Fashion Photography Competition in commemoration of International Women’s Day. The competition aimed to celebrate the essence of womanhood through the lens of fashion photography, empowering students to showcase their creativity and vision.

Competition Themes: The competition embraced three profound themes, each embodying different facets of womanhood:

• Beauty in Diversity
• Empowering Moments
• Celebrating Strength

Registration and Participation: The registration process was conducted online through the provided registration link. As the competition sought to foster inclusivity and participation, students from diverse backgrounds and courses were encouraged to register and exhibit their photographic talent.

Participants: A total of 13 participants enthusiastically joined the competition, each interpreting the themes through their unique perspective and artistic flair.

Winners: The panel of judges meticulously evaluated the submissions, considering creativity, composition, and relevance to the themes. After careful deliberation, the winners were announced:

• First Position

• Beauty in Diversity: Sakshi Goyal from BA-JMC, Sem VI

• Second Position

• Beauty in Diversity: Jigisha Soni, BA, B.Ed. Sem II

• Third Position

• Beauty in Diversity: Poorvi Sharma from BBA Sem II
• Empowering Moments: Monika Vasnani B.Sc. Fashion Design, Sem VI

Conclusion: The Intra-University Fashion Photography Competition proved to be a resounding success, not only in celebrating the spirit of International Women’s Day but also in providing a platform for students to express themselves artistically. The remarkable entries showcased the diversity, empowerment, and strength inherent in womanhood, encapsulating the essence of the themes. Such events serve as a testament to the creativity and talent within the university community, fostering a culture of appreciation for the arts and gender equality.

The department extended its heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and winners for their outstanding contributions to the competition.
