Description: The Department of Fashion & Textiles hosted an exhilarating and innovative competition, "Reel Couture," on September 2, 2023. This competition brought together students from the department to showcase their creativity and expertise in the world of fashion through short video reels. Competition Rules and Eligibility:

  • Participants were required to select one theme from the five options.
  • Each reel could be created by a team of 1 to 5 participants.
  • The duration of the reels ranged from 50 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Background music was allowed to enhance the creative presentation.
  • The submission deadline was set for September 2, 2023.
  • Eligibility was restricted to students currently enrolled in the Department of Fashion and Textiles.

Winner: Ms. Ridhi Modi, B.Sc Fashion Design Sem V.

The "Reel Couture" competition witnessed an impressive array of entries, but it was Ms. Ridhi Modi, a talented student pursuing a B. Sc. in Fashion Design, Semester V, who emerged as the winner. Her reel focused on the theme of "Sustainable Fashion," a topic of great significance in the contemporary fashion industry.Her reel was a testament to her creativity and commitment to sustainability. She transformed a used, torn denim into a stylish bucket hat, showcasing the potential for upcycling and repurposing in fashion. Her video not only demonstrated her technical skills but also conveyed a powerful message about responsible fashion choices.
