Graduate Fashion Fiesta is organisized annually in Jaipur for the students of fashion designing. Graduate Fashion Fiesta an event by National Trade Fair Organization was conceived with a vision to provide a platform to upcoming designers and students to showcase their designed outfits, understand market demand and make in-roads to contact with market leaders and experts. The Fashion Show was organized on 12th September, 2019 at Birla Auditorium ,in which group of seventy-seven students of Fashion Design from different college and university took part in the Fashion Show (Graduate Fashion Fiesta Season 3).

Ms. Akshita Dangayach and Ms. Yashavi Joshi a student of B. Sc. Fashion Design, Semester V, Dept. of Fashion & Textiles, IIS University, participated in Graduation Fashion Fiesta 2019,

was awarded as the second  runner up among 77 students from different colleges of Jaipur.

They presented two contemporary  outfits; black  mix with lycra, tissue and satin used in garments. The name of the theme was - “Rajoyal(Rajasthan-royal)” .           

Lehariya is a traditional style of tie dye practiced in Rajasthan, India which results in brightly coloured cloth with distinctive patterns. The techniques get its name from Rajasthani word wave because of the dyeing technique is often used to produce complex wave pattern. They have given lehariya a different look by using black and white   colour into contemporary garments. 

Their first garment was a saree which was half white and the pallu was of the lehriya print and second garment was a skirt with a slit and blouse which has three fourth sleeves and a slit on it.

While working on the designing the students learnt about different fabrics and dying process of georgette, tissue, lycra and satin.

The participation have led to be confident about their work. It was a great experience of presenting their designs on a state level platform, Ms. Akshita  Dangayach and Ms. Yashavi Joshi achieved second runner up position among all the participants.
