Report on The 6th E-Bazaar 2017

The IIS University organised its 6th Bazaar on Campus on 25th and 26th of October, 2017 in the campus of university (lawns). The event provided a platform for various students to see an insight of the business and start-up world by putting up stalls of their own interest. Students were asked to put up stalls in groups, considering it to be their own small start-ups, invest money and earn profits through their marketing skills. Not only the university students but many other vendors also set up their stalls in the event.
Two stalls were put up by the B.Sc. Fashion Design IIIrd semester students of The Dept.Fashion and Textiles. The stalls were named as the“Desert Bar”, which served the unique kind of modern deserts and second was the “Masala Express” which included a variety of ‘chatt-patta’ Indian fast food.
On the first day the crowd in the students present on the campus were very enthusiastic. The stalls were opened from ten in the morning till four in the evening. Teachers from different department visited the stalls and appreciated the work done by the students. Along with this, several inter-college competitions were also going on in the campus, which were a part of the annual fest, Cosmos 2017. Student participants also visited the stalls.
On the second day, the judgment took place. There was a great rush on the lawns. Both the stalls were highly appreciated by the judges .One of the stall, “Desert Bar” won the title of the “Best Themed Stall”. The Department was awarded with a trophy by the registrar, Dr. Raakhi Gupta for the efforts done by the students under guidance of teachers.
By participating in the e- bazaar the students got an exposure to build their business skills and learnet about how to deal with the customers.
