      Activity: Guest Lecture

A guest lecture was organized for the students of B.Sc. Fashion Design semester III. The resource person was Mr. Divyanshu Agarwal. He is a free lancer Designer and had worked on the Textile cluster. The objectives of the lecture were to acquaint students with the importance and presentation of documenting the craft.

Mr. Agarwal explained the points to be kept in mind while in field. He also explained that while interacting with Artisans, one has to be sensitive towards them. He also explained that the point to be kept in mind while in field. He also explained the basic questions to be included in schedule. Students were informed about the book ‘Handicraft in India’ by Aditi Ranjan and M P Rajan to be read for basic understanding while documenting the craft. Students showed keen interest and interacted and had a healthy discussion on various traditional crafts.
