Day 1.

Ms. Raj Dholiwal, the resource person, introduced the students with the techniques of Shibori, illustrating the method of tying fabric for Tie-dye. The initial phase of tie-dye involved folding, twisting, pleating, or crumpling the fabric or garment, which was then secured with string or rubber bands. This technique serves to enhance textiles by fastening it prior to dyeing. Following the tying of the fabric, colours were applied on the fabric and garments to achieve the Shibori effect. The students dyed T-shirts, Cushion Covers and Napkins using two to three colors, resulting in exceptional outcomes.C:\Users\INDIA\Downloads\20241016_103455amByGPSMapCamera.jpg

Day 2 C:\Users\INDIA\Downloads\IMG_8255.JPG

Ms. Raj Dholiwal showcased the 3D liquid embroidery technique to the students, utilizing Pedilite Fevicryl 3D outliners. She applied these 3D outliners on cotton fabric to create an embroidered appearance. Liquid embroidery is a method that simulates the look of traditional embroidery on fabric by implying 3D lines. The students expressed a keen interest in the workshop, enhancing their t-shirts and shirts with liquid embroidery, and creating mobile covers, cushion covers etc. This activity fostered creativity among the students and also contributed to the development of their presentation skills. The workshop proved to be highly beneficial, with students engaging enthusiastically in the learning of these techniques.
