The department of Fashion and Textile Technology conducted a guest lecture on “Line Development” on 1st August 2016 by Ms. Shivani Vyas, Alumni, The IIS University, Jaipur and Founder & Designer of Shivani Vyas, Prêt & Couture Clothing Label.

She started the lecture with her personal experience of how she started her label and career as a designer. She explained her journey in the Apparel Industry and the importance of work experience under trained designers.

She also described to the students the working of Apparel Industry and also explained that for starting a collection; new designers need to consider their color story, design functionality, technical package, and garment patterns.

The interactive session ended with students enquiring Ms. Shivani about her future plans and discussed their design ideas.
