Topic on which activity was organized:  Resume writing and Interview skills

No. of Participants: 9 students (B.Sc. Sem.-VI and M.A./M.Com./ M.Sc. Sem. - VI)

The objective of the activity (workshop/seminar/activity/Visit): To guide students about building Resume writing and Interview skills

Description: The Department of Fashion & Textiles organized a guest lecture for the students of B.Sc. Fashion Design Semester -VI and M.A./M.Com./ M.Sc. Fashion Design Semester- VI on 11th April, 2022 by Ms. Gunjan Rawat, Placement and Training Incharge, IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur.  She discussed the importance of Resume, the right format to be chosen, how to prepare an objective, present the skills, achievements, project details and etc.; also provided information on how to answer questions related to areas of weaknesses& strengths. She explained the importance of body language, tone, and voice modulation during the Offline/Online/telephonic interview process. She also gave few tips while framing a resume:

  1. Your resume will stand out in comparison to the competitors
  2. Keep the recruiter interested  so that you are given the opportunity to interview

 

Outcome of the activity:

The main objective of this lecture was to teach the various techniques of CV writing which will be beneficial for the students later while applying for the job interviews.
