The Department of Fashion & Textiles organized a workshop on Make-up Basics on 22nd March 2024 at Vinayak Hall. The workshop aimed to provide essential knowledge and practical insights into various aspects of make-up application, catering to the diverse needs and preferences of the participants. Volunteer model for the session was Ms. Manavi Sharma, student of B.Sc Fashion Design Sem VI.
Objectives: The workshop focused on the following key objectives:
A total of 61 participants attended the workshop, eager to enhance their knowledge and skills in the realm of make-up application.
Workshop Overview: The workshop commenced with a warm welcome extended to all participants. Ms. Anshul Singh, a seasoned freelance make-up artist, served as the presenter for the session. She began by introducing herself and outlining the agenda for the workshop, ensuring clarity regarding the topics to be covered.
Session Highlights:
Product Knowledge: Ms. Anshul Singh provided comprehensive insights into various make-up products, including foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, lipstick, and more. Participants gained a deeper understanding of product selection based on skin type, tone, and desired outcomes.
Daily Wear to Party Make-up Look: Through live demonstrations, the resource person showcased the transformation of a simple, everyday make-up look into a glamorous party appearance. Participants observed techniques for accentuating features and creating a cohesive make-up ensemble suitable for different occasions.
Make-up Tips and Tricks: Tailoring her advice to individual participants, Ms. Singh shared invaluable tips and tricks for addressing common make-up challenges. From contouring to highlighting and blending techniques, participants received personalized guidance to enhance their skills.
Basic Make-up Theories: Fundamental concepts such as color theory, face shapes, and make-up application techniques were elucidated to provide participants with a strong foundation in make-up artistry.
Skincare: Emphasizing the importance of skincare, Mrs. Singh underscored the need for a healthy skincare routine as the basis for flawless make-up application. Participants learned about skincare products and practices essential for maintaining radiant skin.
