Objective:
- To enhance the creative skills in sketching and rendering for designing garments
- Introduce the concept of spec sheets and source fabric accordingly
Unit I:
Course Content:
- Illustrating garment details with flat sketches 10hrs
- Style reading for various types of garments 10 hrs
- Designing of theme based garments: 30 hrs
Illustrating garments on themes like culture, environment, historical monuments, season, signs & symbols, flora & fauna, fusion, traditional embroideries, fabric, festivals, college wear, office wear, bridal wear, etc.(Atleast 4)
- Appreciation of any five Indian fashion designers- Collecting & illustrating brief history of their work, the famous & celebrated designs collection and shows of these designers.
Students will make two illustration based on haute couture of these fashion designer.
- Drawing of spec sheets specifying 15 hrs
