Objective: 
  1. To acquaint students with the technique and skills of pattern adaptations for women’s wear
  2. To enable students to obtain harmony between the pattern and design of the garment
  3. To enable students to design and construct women’s wear
Unit I: 
Course Content:
  • Draft: Adult Bodice, Sleeve and Skirt Blocks                                         08 hrs
  • Design,  adaptation and construction of the following                      24 hrs
  • One piece dress with style line
  • Skirt: Panel Skirt/ Handkerchief skirt/ wrap around
  • Design,  adaptation and construction of the following                  28 hrs
  • Kurta: A line/ panel/ umbrella
  • Salwar: Churidar/ Salwar
