Unit I: 
Guidelines

 

  •    Industrial visit:
  • Prepare a report on Apparel Production Process following in the industry   
    • Machinery and equipments used in apparel industry
    • Fabric layout and pattern placement
    • Calculation of fabric wastage                                                                       
  • Inspection of selected garments for:                                                                               
  • Cutting defects
  • Fusing defects
  • Sewing defects
  •     Analysis of Readymade children wear, women’s wear, men’s wear with reference to      following:                       
  • Seam and Stitches
  • Buttons
  • Labels
  • Measurements
  •   Selection of Thread, stitch per inch, needle seam type and seam finishing for different      fabrics.
