Fabric Colouration (Practical)

● Preparatory processes o Desizing, Scouring, Bleaching

● Textile Dyeing o Application of dyes on yarn and fabric, including calculation of dye and reagents quantities required for for a specific material quantity: ▪ Direct dyes ▪ Sulphur dyes ▪ Vat dyes ▪ Reactive dyes ▪ Acid ▪ Fabric dyeing using the Ombre dip dye techniques- |

● Textile Printing o Fabric printing on cotton fabric using the following techniques, followed by after treatment: ▪ Blocks with direct dyes: Khadi & Discharge Printing ▪ Screen with pigment colours ▪ Stencil with reactive dyes
o Students to create design sketches for apparel product development and prepare layout of design sheets for the above-mentioned techniques. They must develop their own screens, blocks, and stencils in various colourways for product development. Additionally, students should document the entire process through a pictorial presentation. (approval of subject teacher) |

· Make the swatch book of different type of printed and resist dyed samples: block, screen, stencil, digital printing, tie & dye, bandhani ,lehariya and batik. |

● Industrial Visit Students are required to prepare a report on a dyeing/printing/finishing industry. The report should include industry details, working processes and the different methods used for dyeing/ printing/ finishing. |
