Objective: 
  1. To encourage the pursuit of innovation, achieved through application and development of practical skills.
  2. To familiarize the students with various materials used in accessories
  3. To introduce basic design concepts, visualization techniques, manipulation of materials and techniques of interpretation, leading to creation of costume jewelry and accessories in various materials and traditional craft styles.

 

Unit I: 
Course Content:

 

  1. Market survey and documentation of accessories based on different themes: - tribal, ethnic, contemporary, traditional, and fusion.                                                          20 hrs

2. Using Illustration, Coloring and rendering techniques for designing fashion accessories (at least 5 sketches) using different theme.                                                                    15 hrs

  • Handbags
  • Jewellery
  • Belts
  • Scarves & stoles
  • Gloves
    • Designing & construction of any one accessory from each category according to the selected theme                                                                                                                   10 hrs
    • Coordinating accessories with outfits                                                                         05 hrs
    • Restyling of plain accessories with creative techniques                                             10 hrs
