Objective: 

This course aims to familiarize students with various methods of business communication, including technological advances and emerging platforms that are changing the way brands and consumers interact. It also encourages students to evaluate the role of creativity in advertising and assess creative strategies.

Course Outcomes: 

CO 105 Assess and appraise the skills of oral and written communication and develop media report for print, electronic as well as digital media

CO 106 Create and design graphics in terms of typography and logo, for a retail set up

CO 107 Develop a theme based Visual merchandising set up and create floor lay out plans for window display in a retail.

CO 108 Compile comprehensive practical record and submission related to developed designs  

CO 109 Cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners.

CO 110 Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction

Business Letter                                                                               (18 Hours)

  • Business Letters (Types, Essentials and Layout) letter of enquiry, letter of quotation, letter of orders, letter of trade reference, circular letters, letter of complaint and adjustments, sales letter, credit letters and status inquire, collection letters
  • Curriculum Vitae writing

Fashion Journalism                                                                         (14 Hours)

  • Basic of Fashion Journalism-Fashion Articles
  • Writing about latest fashion-trend spotting and reporting, features, reviews, interviews, profiles, forecasting, and fashion shows

Communication design                                                                  (16 Hours)

  • Logo & Taglines
