Objective:
- To impart the knowledge to develop designs skills for creating aesthetically good designs
- To use and apply the elements of design like Lines, Shapes, Texture & color to form a good design
- Application of elements of design on apparel 15 hrs
- Line – Horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and curve lines etc.
- Shape & silhouette – A-line, Sheath, Mermaid, Empire, Ball Gown
- Color - color wheel, Value scale, intensity scale and color schemes, Rendering according to print - checks, stripes, floral, Abstract.
- Texture - woven, tweeds, satin, denim, crepe, tissues, chiffon, pile and leather
- Motifs & Repeats- geometric, simplified, naturalized, stylized and abstract. 10 hrs
- Application of Principles of design - Balance, Proportion, Rhythm, Emphasis and Harmony 15 hrs
- Sketching garment details with the help of template for: Neckline, Collars, Sleeves, Tucks, Pleats, Gathers, Yokes, Pocket, cuffs 15 hrs
- Introduction to block figure. 06 hrs
- Drawing stylized figure 14 hrs
- Designing and rendering of apparel 15 hrs
