Report on “Visit to a Manufacturing Unit”

Department of Fashion & Textiles had organized an Industrial Visit to “Kalindi Fashion & Craft” Mansarovar, Jaipur for the students of M.A./M.Sc./M.Com Fashion design Semester II, B.Sc. Fashion Design Semester IV and B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Garment production and Export Management Semester IV on Friday day 23rd March, 2018 under the supervision of Ms. Deepa, Head Designer, Kalindi Fashion & Craft.

Kalindi Fashion & Craft, leading manufacturers and wholesale exporters of ladies handbags, ladies beaded bags, beaded handbags, ladies fashion bags, beaded fashion bags, fashion handbags, designer shoes, and silk scarves from India.                       

Students got the opportunity to learn the Production process from concept to final product. They were introduced to different departments like Designing, Pattern making & cutting, stitching, and finishing department.  Student gained knowledge about different types of fabrics, pattern making, sample making, cutting, garment construction and finishing of the same.

The visit was conducted with an aim to give the students insight knowledge about the working process of a manufacturing unit. 28 students visited the unit and found the activity highly informative and useful.
