Activity:  Demonstration

Faculty Co- ordinator: Dr. Vipin Kumari

The Department of Fashion & Textiles conducted a guild activity for the students of B.Sc Fashion Technology Semester VI & M.A/M.Sc/M.Com Fashion Design Semester II on “Gota Jewellery” on 27/02/18 in Clothing Lab. The resource person for the same was Ms. Deepa Saini, Merchandiser from Kalindi Fashion and Craft, Jaipur.

The activity focused on creating of Gota Jewellery which included Bangals, earrings, rings, necklace etc. Ms. Saini created different designs of jewellery by using different types of gota.

She also shared jewellery made by her with students, so the students get an idea and can create and  develop various designs.

Students showed inclination towards the demonstration and tried to make jewellery items  using gotas.

The students showed keen interest in the activity by active participation in the jewellery making. This demonstration was very fruitful for the students as it helped them to create their own jewellery in a short of span of time. Approximately thirty-five students participated in this activity.
