The Students will be able to:

CO.1  Demonstrate different boards, merchandise calendar use for apparel industry and understanding with fabric selection and colour planning.

 CO.2   Generate the uses of techpack and its importance's with the practical knowledge.

CO.3   Build rapport with local artisans and industry people.

CO.4   Analyze the retailing and merchandising with help of case study of chain stores

Approach in teaching:

Demonstrations, Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Informative videos

Self-learning assignments,

Forecasting board, market survey report, design sheets merchandise calendar, case study according to selective product and garment development.

Assessment tasks will include Test / classroom work, samples, products and survey reports

o    Students are required to visit any apparel retail outlet for preparing report on day-to-day operations of various aspects of a store

▪          Merchandise Selection: Specialty Store/ Department Store/ Super Specialist/ Niche Specialist/ Category Killers

▪          Pricing: Discount Store/ Super Store/ Off-Price Retailing Store

▪          Operations: Chain Store/ Contractual/ Warehouse

▪          Convenience: Vendor Retailing/ Direct Selling

▪          Direct Marketing: Direct Mail/ Mail Order/ Direct Response
