Fashion Representation-I (Practical)

 

 

 

The Students will be able to:

  CO.20  Analyze human figure and block figure for designing

 CO.21   Apply textures on Garment details for design

CO.22 Illustrate Design according to texture

CO.23 Understands garment detailing and apply design accordingly to fabric

Approach in teaching: Interactive workshops, Discussion, Power Point Presentations, Informative videos

Learning activities for the students: Self-learning assignments, and development of  Design sheets on application of garment details and textures

Assessment tasks will include Class Test on the topics, Semester end examinations, /Quiz, Student presentations and assignments.

  • Pockets, Necklines & Collars
  • Sleeves & sleeve finishes
  • Darts, Gathers, Pleats, Yokes
  • Frills, Ruffles, Cowls, Smoking, Quilting & Shirring
  • Skirts- Skirt lengths (Micro Mini, Mini, Tea & Maxi)
  • Pants- Pants length (Shorts, Jamaica, Bermudas, Walking shorts, Capri, Regular & stretch pants
  • Blouses & tops, Shirts & Blazers, Jackets, Coats
  • Lace, Shirring, Flounces, Tucks, Bows, Hemlines, Fringing, Belts
  • Dresses
  • Demonstration of Garment details through PowerPoint presentations or videos                                                                                           04 hrs

 

●        Designing and rendering for male and female apparel with fabric swatches for: 18 hrs

o    Woven: Satin, Denim, Crepe, Tissue, Chiffon, Georgette, Velvet, Pile, Cotton, Net, Organza

o    Knitted: Herringbone, Jersey, Rib     

o    Printed: Stripes, Check & Plaid, Dots, Floral, Geometrical, Abstract

o    Others: Leather, Lace
