The students will be able to

CO121.Create and construct various designs for women’s garments.

CO122.Construct and rephrase basic and modified patterns.

CO123.Develop a complete garment by joining various parts of the garment.

CO124.Analyzing the fitting and finishing of the garment.

Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion, PowerPoint Presentations, Informative videos and demonstration.

Learning activities for the students: Self-learning assignments, and development of products.

 

Assessment tasks will include Class Test on the given topics, labswork, record book assessment,

Viva-voce, Attendance Assignment

 

CONTENT:

  1. Sketching of the following women’s wear at least 5 garments designs according to latest trends in the export market.        12 hrs.
  1. Selecting appropriate fabrics and estimation of material required.                                                                                                    4 hrs.
  1. Prepare patterns, cut, sew - press and fold the constructed garment and check the fit:                                                                  44 hrs.
