CO.67 Design and relate the current market trends through sketching.

CO.68 Classify and Categories fashion trends with reference to historic trends in form of design sheets and presentations

CO.69 Compile comprehensive practical record and submission related to developed designs of fashion history and cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners.

Approach in teaching: Demonstration, Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Informative videos

Learning activities for the students: Self-learning assignments, Design sheets and visual presentation

CONTENTS

●      To Study current market trends for Apparels.                                                    

(20 Hours)

●      Designing of men and women dresses according to the current trends taking inspiration from the following periods:                                                       

o      Belle Epoque: (1900-1913)

o      World War I: (1914- 1919)

o      Between the Wars: (1920-1939)

o      Roaring twenties (1920-1929)

o      Glamour Years (1930-1939)                                                                  

o      War time Utility look: (1940-1946)

o      New Look (1947 -1956)

o      Mini and Mod (1957 – 1966)                                                                 

o      Anti - fashion (1967 – 1978)

o      Power - dressing: (1979 – 1987)

o      End of century (1988 – 2000)

o      Looks and Designers of 2000 onwards till date
