Objective: 

1. It will enhance student‘s personal and professional development through hands on skill in the apparel industry.

2. It aims to integrate different skills required for participating in planned, supervised work with a reflection and evaluation process at the end of the internship.

3. It will provide students the opportunity to relate theory holistically to practice and gain valuable experiences for future career.

Guidelines

  • The students are expected to take training for 45 days in an industry/ buying house. The training program is to be taken up during the fourth semester break, for gaining substantial hands on experience in the apparel/ fashion merchandising and designing in the industry. They are given the freedom to choose the field of their choice.
  • The students are required to make two copies of the report based on the field study.
  • They are also required to obtain a certification from the respective company proving their involvement and contribution.
  • The students shall prepare a report on the visit made by the organization. The student will submit the report and will be required to make the presentation of the work followed by viva voce. The student will be required to get the certificate regarding successful training.

Evaluation:

The students will be given marks out of 100, which will be converted to credits as per the programme.
