● Introduction to needle work 8 hrs
o Selection of needle, frames, scissors, tools and tracing methods used in needle craft.
o Embroidery on different types of textile materials (cotton, silk, jute)
● Finishing of raw edges 14 hrs
o Techniques and Application of Running, overcasting, hemming.
● Stitches 14 hrs
o Flat stitch: Running, Back, Stem
o Loop stitch: Chain, Feather, Button hole, lazy daisy
o Knotted stitch: French knot, Bullion knot
o Cross stitch: Herringbone stitch
● Surface Ornamentation Techniques 14 hrs
o Patch work, appliqué techniques, ribbon, beads, sequin and button work, mirror work
● Product Development 10 hrs
o Develop a product using any of the above mentioned techniques
