The Department of Fashion and Textiles, School of Design of IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur, has proudly organized its 14th Annual fashion show CREATION 2025 on 25th January 2025, at IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur. The annual fashion show “CREATIONS” has been a platform since its inception from 2010 for students to exhibit their talents on the ramp. It aims to nurture more talents and designers.

 

The Chief Guest for the event was CEO & Editor- In- Chief, Bharat24 CMD & Editor & Chief- First India News &     First India, The Guest of Honor for the event was Ms. Nidhi Gupta Agarwal, Director, Metacube Software Pvt. Ltd, Jaipur.

The Judges for the show were Mr. Rishee Miglani, Youth Icon of Rajasthan & Brand Ambassador- The Fashion Connect and Ms. Farha Ansari, Fashion Designer and Stylist.

A total of 36 designers, 40 models, and 18 dancers contributed to the event's vibrant atmosphere. Mr. David orchestrated the choreography and music, while the models underwent a 15-day modeling workshop program to enhance their modeling skills.

The designers presented their collections through engaging power point presentations, showcasing colour boards, mood boards, theme boards, storyboards, swatch boards, and working pictures, providing a comprehensive view of their creative process. The theme of the Fashion show was “Sustainability in Fashion”.

 

The themes of the rounds were as follows:

 

1.    Earthy Enchantment:

This collection was inspired by the four classical elements—Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. This line brought nature to life through vibrant colours, fluid fabrics, and versatile silhouettes of flowy gowns, capes, and tunics. From lush greens and tranquil blues to fiery reds, celestial whites and radiant yellows, each outfit embodied the energy of the elements. Crafted with sustainability in mind, this collection celebrated the harmony of style and ecological beauty.

2.    Khadi Chronicles:

Bold colour-blocking techniques in shades of blue, sage green, and maroon brought a fresh perspective to semi-formal attire. Khadi fabric was used to create structured jackets and tailored trousers, offering a polished yet contemporary look ideal for professional settings. Accessories like hand-gloves of different lengths and headgears were incorporated to create a sophisticated, eco-conscious fashion range that honoured tradition with technique. This motley of outfits embodied confidence and individuality, redefining workplace fashion by blending traditional craftsmanship with new-age style.

3.    Silken Splendour:

Inspired by the timeless beauty of rich silk textures and intricate weaves, this ensemble exhibit reveled in India's vibrant traditions. Transforming vintage textiles into contemporary couture, the collection celebrated generational elegance. Each garment reimagined traditional brocade and plain sarees as modern silhouettes—ranging from structured blazers and flowing palazzo pants to traditional lehengas and modern skirts—meticulously paired with intricate gold jewellery. Luxurious Banarasi brocades and plain silks harmonized sustainability with tradition, offering a modern interpretation of regal elegance. Every piece was a tribute to our rich cultural heritage and commitment to conscious fashion.

4.    Batik Bliss: A tribute to heritage with a bold and modern twist, every piece told a story of the timeless beauty of Batik print. Rooted in artistic craftsmanship and cultural vibrance, this mélange reimagined tradition with a modern flair. Rich silk fabrics in vibrant hues of magenta, red, green, and purple flowed through silhouettes such as dhotis, lehengas, and skirts. Abstract patterns and delicate hand-embroidery celebrated artisanal workmanship while embracing modern sophistication.

5.   Hollywood Glitz:.

The collection transported viewers to the golden era of 1930s Hollywood, where evergreen elegance met cinematic charm. This assortment celebrated the powerful women of classic cinema in luxurious evening gowns crafted from satin, silk, and net. A palette of metallic tones, classic black, and ivory, set the stage for vintage glamour, accented by fur shawls, pearls, gloves, and hats. This exhibit revived the allure of old-world sophistication and the magic of Hollywood's timeless glamour.

6.    Urban Canvas:

This collection featured jorts pants, wide-legged trousers, and tailored silhouettes in duck fabric, this line redefines casual chic. A palette of off-whites, greens, and earthy browns, paired with typography-inspired patterns, this clothing line captured the essence of graffiti culture. Perfect for those who embrace individuality, this array fuses edgy aesthetics with modern versatility.

7.    Pharaoh Fusion:

This collection featured flowy gowns, sculpted corsets, and intricate 3D resin artistry, the designs blend fluidity with structural precision. Asymmetrical silhouettes and a palette of brown, gold, copper, and turquoise blue, capture the essence of Egyptian royalty. Each piece reflects a harmonious fusion of opulence and elegance.

8.    Resilient Reflection:

Collection was a range of Indo-Western silhouettes where fashion met sustainability, adorned with patchwork, tassels, and origami flowers, exude creativity and grace. Each garment was a canvas created using fabric-scraps transformed into 3D art.  Flowy jackets in soft pastel tones, paired with bold slogans and motifs, amplified the message of women-empowerment. Accessorized with upcycled jewellery, the designs combined environment friendliness with innovation, reflecting the indomitable spirit of a woman of substance as well as style.

Learning Outcome:  Students of Department of Fashion & Textiles were able to showcase their collections on the runway in front of large audience. 14th Annual Fashion show CREATIONS’25 was ended successfully bringing laurel to the university.
