Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

1.     Gain comprehensive knowledge of pattern making and garment construction techniques specific to men's wear.

2.     Identify and efficiently utilize pattern-making tools and equipment for precise tailoring of men's garments.

3.     Analyze and apply key design elements in men's wear, such as collars, cuffs, lapels, pleats, and structured silhouettes.

Pattern Making & Construction- III (Practical)

CO.207 Assess and recognize various methods of pattern making and adaptation for men's wear garments.

CO.208 Develop and construct structured and casual men's wear garments, including shirts, trousers, and ethnic wear.

CO.209 Compile comprehensive practical record and submission related to developed designs through pattern making & construction techniques and cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners.

CO.210 Contribute effectively course-specific interaction

Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Power Point Presentations, Informative videos

Learning activities for the students: Self-learning assignments, and development of  patterns

Assessment tasks will include Class Test, Semester end examinations, and Student presentations.

Pattern Making:                                                                                

  • Drafting basic shirt block (bodice, sleeve, collar, and cuff)
  • Drafting basic Trouser Block (front and back)                   
  • Pattern making for men’s traditional attire
