Objective: 
  • To create a conscious awareness with regard to each step in the design process
  • To use surface design skills like weaves, dyes, printing, embroidery etc. for creating fabric ideas for the product
  • To develop the skills of textile designing with the help of using different natural fabrics for product development

  • Concept selection
  • Market research-  Material exploration/surface designs
  • Theme boards/source of inspiration
  • Colour pallete
  • Swatch boards
  • Design Development- Illustrated final concept with details
  • Product Development
  • Final presentation- Final products followed by a presentation

 

 

Student will display the designs and products develop from the above curriculum in the form of exhibition.

 

Evaluation: The products submitted will be evaluated by a panel of examiners consisting of Head of the department, external examiner and one appointed by the Principal.
