  • Forms of dyeing-fiber, yarn, fabric, garment

  • Dyeing Equipments: General principles & functioning of different machines               
  • used in dyeing -package dyeing machine, jigger, winch, stenter, jet dyeing machine, thermo soling unit -construction, schematic diagram, function
  • Introduction to Post Treatment of dyed fabrics, Dyeing defects and remedies, Advances in dyes& dyeing technology

  • Introduction to printing – difference between dyeing and printing.                                  
  • Styles of Printing-Direct style, resist or resource style, discharge style and resist style
  • Methods of printing: block, stencil, screen, roller and rotary screens, transfer printing, carpet printing, flock printing.

  • Printing auxiliaries – thickening agents, pigments and other printing auxiliaries, their suitability to various classes of dyes and fibers.
  • Preparation of printing pastes for different dyes and different fibers.

  • Advances in printing technology.
