1.  Physical Testing

  • Yarn numbering
  • Twists in Yarn: Determination of the number of twist per inch of single and ply yarn
  • Tensile strength of yarn and fabric
  • Bursting Strength of knitted fabrics: Determination of the bursting strength of fabrics
  • Fabric   length, width, dimensional stability, shrinkage % ,GSM
  • Pilling Effect: Determination of pilling effect by using pilling tester
  • Test on stiffness, drape, crease resistance
  • Drape co-efficient
  • Water Repellency Test

 2.  Chemical Testing

  • Shrinkage of Fabrics and Garments: Determination of relaxation shrinkage percentage in Woven and knitted fabrics and garments (Cold water immersion test)
  • Colour Fastness Tests: Determination of colour fastness of textile materials to washing, bleaching, perspiration, rubbing, hot pressing, light.
