Women’s Wear                                   (Project)

 

The Students will be able to:

 

  1. Discuss the market involved in women’s wear
  2. Comprehend the evolution of fashion industry and familiarize with different styles and special features of 20th century costumes
  3. Develop popular garment styles for upper and lower garments for women and critical eye for fit evaluation.

Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Informative videos

 

Learning activities for the students:

Self-learning assignments, Report writing and presentation through chart/poster/ power point presentation

Class activity on creating various modification in a pattern.

Design sheet preparation

Class test, Semester end examinations, Quiz, Presentation

 

Guidelines for the Project

  • Prepare a portfolio consisting of all the components learnt in previous semesters.
  • Construct 2 Women’s wear garments, previously designed in course code CFSD 306 Fashion Design Process with specification sheet. The garment should be coordinated with creative accessories. Entire collection will be showcased in the form of an event (Fashion Show).
  • Prepare Measurement Sheet
  • Pattern Development
  • Construction of Mock Sample and Final Sample
  • Final Pricing of the Garment
  • Display of developed product

Note: Photographs during the show should be documented in Portfolio.
