Objective of the activity (workshop/seminar/activity/Visit):  To understand the concept of line development with reference to various boards used in the fashion industry.  

Description:

Department of Fashion & Textiles organized a guest lecture on Fashion design process for all the students. The activity's objective was to impart knowledge related to various design and concept boards.  The resource person for the activity was Ms. Simran Kaur Bhuppal, Fashion Designer and Stylist from Mumbai.  She shared information about the importance of various boards such as inspiration board, mood board, concept board, doodle sheets, and design board with reference to their application in fashion design process. 

With the help of presentation, she discussed each type of board in detail with the real-time examples. The concept of line development was explained in detail to all the students which will be helpful for them to create garment range for fashion show and class projects. 

Ms. Simran interacted with students and answered their queries for better understanding. Overall the session was fruitful for the students. 

Outcome of the activity: The students were able to learn about boards used in fashion industry while developing range in the industry. This will help them to create innovative projects.
