Objective of the activity: To guide and brief students about the campus placements.

Description :

The Department of Fashion & Textiles organized a detailed lecture for the students of  B.Sc. Fashion Design  Semester -I and M.A./M.Com./ M.Sc. Fashion Design  Semester- I on 20th September, 2021 by Ms. Sharon Samson, Placement In charge,  IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur. She motivated students to develop technical knowledge and soft skills as well as   aspire for higher studies. She discussed about various activities organized by the university for a better career such as students Industry Interface with the experts / Industry Visits, Campus Recruitment drives, Internships, Personality Development Workshops on (Group Decision, Personal Interview skills, Resume writing etc.

She further briefed students about the campus placement process, Sectors for Placement Opportunities, Wide array of Job Profiles Offered, Some Prominent Recruiters at IISU. She further suggested that students to register with placement cell so that, timely information can be shared with them.

Outcome of the activity: The main objective of the session lecture was to brief the students about the Training and placement cell of IISU, to provide exposure to students on different areas like designing, marketing, research, cloth production and textile designing where they can pursue their career in fashion industry. A brief description on various career options like designer, consultant, merchandiser, blogger and buyer was shared with the students.
