An interaction session on “Creative Entrepreneurship” was organized by the the Department of Fashion and Textiles for which the resource person were Ms Aarushi Kilawat founder of The Loom Art & Ms Sonal Chitranshi founder of Soul Roots.

The objective of the session was to provide knowledge about the creative entrepreneurship and how efficiently a work can be done by sustaining the textile.

 

 

 

 In the session with Ms Aarushi, the focus was on the story of an artisan and a designer attached to each and every garment of their label “The Loom Art”.The Loom Arts aims at creating such a piece of art which is full of character, bloomed with labor of love and collectively narrates the hard work of the team. Ms Aarushi, as a non- conventional entrepreneur focus on creating a sustainable lively hood for the artisan community. 

 

Ms Sonal Chitranshi focused on producing garment keeping high quality measures and how to connect with the artisans working behind it. Ms Sonal Chitranshi also focused on their label Soul Roots, each unique design in the Soul Roots collection is handcrafted by highly skilled denoted artisans. Traditional craftsmanship is imbued into all the products and every item in the collection echoes the love and skill of the hands that made it; using techniques handed down through the generation; Soul Roots apparels not only look great but also tell story of lines changed through safe, sustainable employment, training and education.

 

 

 

Lastly, the session was briefed by giving the information about the various problems with the relevant solution that one can face in their journey.
