Objective of the Guest lecture:

  • To make students aware about entrepreneurship as a career choice
  • To make them aware about business ideas
  • To make them aware about financial support system

 Summary/Description:

Description: The Department of Fashion and Textile conducted an exclusive guest lecture for the upcoming new innovation setup and increase women entrepreneurs on Incubation center. A special quest for the session was Dr. Anju Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur. She started with the brief introduction of startup business plan.  

She also highlighted fundamental elements of marketing, marketing mix, product concept, target audiences, importance of understanding the market, customer demands and needs.

She concluded her lecture with the topic of start-up business plan. She related all the conceptual topics with fashion design. Which made it easier to understand She further explained the selection from and procedure to apply to apply start up. She motivated the students by making them understand the benefits to the incubatee. The question of the was addressed after her students were then allowed to ask questions if any regarding her lecture. It was an interactive lecture and all the students were curious about. The concept as students of fashion Design can directly relate to it.

Outcome of the Guest lecture

The main objective behind this lecture was to orient the students so that they can be supported through the IISU incubation center so that students can intimate and develop start up in apparel Sector
