Report on “Apparel Production”

An interaction session on “ Apparel Production ” was organized by the The Department of Fashion and Textile Technology for which the resource person was  Ms. Gauri Kathju , & Mr. Santosh Anand, Asst. Professors, of fashion, Pearl Academy , Jaipur.

The motive of the session was to provide knowledge about how  efficient production takes place in the  apparel industrial sector at large scale production and what kind of processes undergoes for different types of apparel production.

The session focused on imparting knowledge about the different types of machines  being used at industrial level and the performance of machines such as Manual, Semi and Fully Automated machines by use of  short-video presentations. The session  was feasible at our department as the department has an advanced construction lab which comprise of industrial sewing machines like Juki, Brother which have the specified features.

Further they also added the places like Tirupur , Ludhiana , Delhi etc. where those specialized  machines are widely used at industrial level for bulk garment & apparel production.

Lastly, the session was briefed by giving the information about the merchandise the process of merchandising at the industrial level. The interactive session was conducted well & was worth attending for all the students as hey got known about the insight of various aspects of industry & it’s working.
