The resource person for the activity was Ms. Neelam Saroj who is a designer. Macramé is a textile art that uses knots rather than weaving or knitting. Macramé is a wonderful craft for expressing a vision you never knew you had and practicing mindfulness and meditation .We can create beautiful patterns for bags, wall hangings or as a 3D structure to hold things like pots and bowls for plants to hang out in. She demonstrated the basic knots of macramé .After the initial knowledge about the Knots the students were divided into groups to make a product with the help of different knots. They were discussed their ideas with the resource person who gave valuable suggestions regarding different aspects of design. It was a great learning experience.

The students showed their keen interest by participating in the activity. This workshop was very fruitful for the students as it helped them to create their own products in an innovative style. 30 students participated in the workshop in total.
